Nancy Brinker, founder of breast cancer organization Susan G. Komen, spoke with Yahoo Finance when discussing cancer research at the Concordia Summit in New York City.
Brinker mentions that we need better diagnostics to detect cancer earlier to treat them earlier. She thinks earlier detection will be more cost effective. To do this, she says, "People are going to have to figure out a way to secure both risk/reward for developing therapeutics and sharing data.”
