CIA
For a segment that was over two years in the making, Joan Lunden goes inside the walls of the CIA, where she interviews former director James Woolsey before his resignation and talks to him in his first televised interview since his departure. At the agency, Lunden reveals many of the C.I.A.'s methods and operations, including the secrets behind the timing of the first US air strike in the Persian Gulf War, a White House briefing, and how the agency communicates with its overseas agents using "microdot" technology. For the first time on camera, the CIA shows how they imbed messages, planting one within the "o" of Joan's own name.
