A Long Road To Cancer-Free
In June 2009 at the age of 55 Beverly LeConte was diagnosed with Stage II Grade III Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Soon after her diagnosis, she went right into treatment, which was a lumpectomy followed by target radiation. Then in July she embarked on months of aggressive chemotherapy. After mentioning her concerns to her oncologist, Beverly received genetic testing and sure enough, she tested positive for BRCA 2 causing her to make a few big life changing decisions.
