Finding out I had breast cancer was the scariest moment of my life. I just never thought I'd hear those words... "You have cancer". However, I strongly believe there is a silver lining to everything in life, sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find it. In my case, this lining wasn't silver - to me, it was gold!

My diagnosis opened the door to so many opportunities and connected me to so many people. One of the opportunities  I'm so grateful for is being able to work alongside Nancy Brinker and the Susan G. Komen organization. I sat down with Inside Edition and spoke to them about my cancer journey and how inspired I have become since my involvement with the Komen organization.
