There’s nothing like a glass of freshly squeezed juice to keep cool in the summer. Not only are homemade juices packed with the vitamins and nutrients your body needs, but they’re great for relaxing and feeling refreshed after a long morning working in the garden or soaking up the sun.

Some people may think juicing takes too much time or requires too many ingredients. That’s why we’ve put together five favorite simple summer juice recipes that are easy to make and sure to quench your thirst.

Just throw these ingredients in your juicer and store in your fridge for a quick and delicious pick-me-up throughout the day. You can even pour these recipes into popsicle molds to make natural and tasty sweet treats for the kids (or yourself!)

1. Rise and Shine

This recipe featured on Prolific Juicing is a simple way to start your day on the right foot. Detoxifying ginger and lemon help with digestion and blood circulation.

You will need:

  • 4–6 medium-sized carrots
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 lemon, unpeeled
  • 1 yellow or green apple
  • Ginger, to taste

2. Green Goddess

This refreshing recipe from Whole Fully is both sweet and satisfying. Cucumber and celery are bursting with water, so this juice will keep you hydrated in the heat.

You will need:

  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 1/2 cucumber, cut into quarters
  • 1 green apple, diced into eighths
  • 1 pear, diced into eighths

3. “Tropi-kale” Juice

This is another tasty recipe from Whole Fully that’s arguably the easiest of the bunch. The simple three-ingredient juice packs a punch, both in flavor and healthy ingredients to keep your energy high as you move through your busy day.

You will need:

  • 1/4 of pineapple diced into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup of kale leaves
  • 1 ripe banana

4. Beat Blaster

Another easy three-ingredient recipe is this beet-filled juice from Get Healthy U. Beets help lower blood pressure, boost stamina, and fight inflammation and even cancer. This wonder-veggie is the star of this simple juice.

You will need:

  • 2 medium-sized beets (with the tops on)
  • 3 medium-sized carrots
  • 1 apple

5. Pucker Up

This simple citrus zinger (also by Get Healthy U) is sure to put a zip in your step. Add a splash of club soda to transform this recipe into a refreshing afternoon spritzer — it’s always five o’clock somewhere!

You will need:

  • 3 oranges
  • 1/2 ruby red grapefruit
  • 1 apple

Juicing is a great way to stay healthy and up your intake of fresh fruits and veggies.
