I got diagnosed with breast cancer 2 days before Thanksgiving 2013. I had a visible lump but got mammograms and even biopsies on dense breast tissue for years before but on that mammogram everyone suddenly realized breast cancer! I had a bilateral mastectomy January 9, 2014 Chemotherapy, radiation and have my final exchange surgery scheduled for December 1st of this year. That's about 53 weeks from diagnosis to done! My family and coworkers are amazing and I am proud of myself too. I've had minimal work loss and been able to keep life around the cancer as regular/normal (LOL) as possible. I've been told by all of my doctors I will be fine and I do believe that. I wish everyone good health and great days with family and friends.
