Deborah Meyer

I am 59 years old mother of 1 daughter living in the Sacramento area. I found a lump in my right breast in December 2013. I was diagnosed at U. C. Davis Medical Center with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in February 2014. I do not have the BRCA gene mutation. I was given the option to have surgery or start with chemo to shrink the tumors (2). I asked my Oncologist what she would do. She said she would have chemo first no question. I began chemo in March 2014. I will finish chemo on September 24th, 2014! Yay! My surgery is scheduled for October 14, 2014. I too started to lose my hair and went in to the wig shop and had them shave my head. I wear a lot of scarfs and I have wig. I will a Grandmother in Febuary 2015. I plan on being a survior of BC and helping others in their journey with Breast Cancer.
