Last night I attended the 18th Annual QVC presents FFANY Shoes on Sale event at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.  It was such a fabulous event, raising awareness and money for such an important cause.  Supporters came out to shop at the shoe industry's largest fundraising event, purchasing shoes and handbags at discounted prices with proceeds going towards breast cancer research and education.

Deserving honorees, Timothy O'Donovan and Nancy Brinker were awarded during a beautiful dinner ceremony, both unbelievably impactful presences in the world of breast cancer research.

Every 2 1/2 minutes in this country a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Many of these women are physically active & healthy women with no known risk factors.  I don't think any woman truly feels that she is immune from breast cancer, I know that every time I go for my mammogram, I hold my breath waiting to hopefully hear that nothing shows up.  I was honored to be a part of this evening, supporting such an important cause for women everywhere, and I hope you all tune in to QVC this Saturday from 6 - 9 to also be a part of this  wonderful event!
