Remember "planking?" Well, I'm now showing you all the real meaning of that word as I hold onto this "plank" pose for as long as I can with my husband, Jeff, and trainer, Adam.

The Real "Planking"

Working out is tough. And working out during chemotherapy can be even tougher. But staying active for even just a few minutes per day can really make a difference in your energy level and mood. It even helps to keep the brain healthy.

I must admit, after returning home from a summer in Maine, where my husband runs his business, I've been intimidated by creating a new work out routine. But I soon realized, that was just an excuse. You don't have to be in a gym to get your heart rate up. Even walking up the stairs in your home, or taking a walk outside can get in the steps that you need to stay moving.

This morning, I tagged along with my husband to his workout and am holding myself accountable in keeping it up. It's so easy to "fall off the wagon." I hope this video will re-energize you to join me in staying fit and healthy!
