In Part 3 of this 5 part series, Dr. Z and I tackle the topic of "cruciferous vegetables" and how they can act as an anti-cancer food, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in the body. These are vegetables like cauliflower, kale, bok choy, brussel sprouts and so on. They have compounds within them that detoxify hormones and toxins in the body, helping to reduce chemical compounds that can create disease. We also expand on simple switches that you can make in your own pantry for items such as dairy. Additionally, this can also help to reduce body fat. Why is this important? Body fat is the storage container for estrogen, and estrogen can be a factor in promoting the growth of cancer cells.
