I am so excited about A Place for Mom's caregiver contest to win a trip to my Camp Reveille!  If you're a caregiver or if you know a caregiver who needs a break, enter this contest on A Place For Mom's website and come join me for a weekend of rest, relaxation, inspiration, and rejuvenation.  I can't wait to see who wins!

A Place for Mom would like to send one deserving caregiver to Joan Lunden’s Camp Reveille for a “REST AND RECHARGE CAREGIVER VACATION.” Enter the contest below before July 1st for a chance to win a 4-day rejuvenating retreat.

Do you know a caregiver who deserves a much-needed getaway? Or are you a caregiver who needs a little rejuvenation? With over 65 million caregiving Americans, chances are you do. Camp Reveille may be just what the doctor ordered. Open to any female who is currently serving as a caregiver to an aging loved one, applicants will be asked to submit a letter of introduction along with a short essay describing why they, or someone they know, deserve the prize.

Joan Lunden’s Camp Reveille Mission

Being a caregiver is one of the toughest jobs out there. It’s not only emotionally draining, but can also be physically taxing. And while caregivers are happy to help their elderly loved ones, it’s important for caregivers to also take care of themselves. Beautiful Camp Reveille, located in Naples, Maine offers a unique getaway for women where they can re-energize and get inspired in an exhilarating and serene environment

Camp Reveille was started by Joan Lunden—a longtime health and wellness advocate and A Place for Mom spokesperson— in 2008, offering multi-tasking women a haven to decompress, relax and refresh. Covering four days and three nights, camp attendees are met with a host of activities and programs such as yoga, tennis, arts and crafts, dance classes and meditation.

Lunden brings a meaningful view and valuable insights to her role with A Place for Mom. She helps to not only educate families, but also offers a caregiver perspective and understanding; which is why one deserving contest winner will be awarded a fully paid camp tuition for the Camp Reveille summer session. The getaway offers a well-deserved break from life’s hectic schedule and the day-to-day responsibilities of caring for a loved one.

Camp Reveille “Rest & Recharge Caregiver Getaway” Contest Rules

Applicants must submit a letter of introduction and short essay of two or more paragraphs describing why they, or someone they know, deserve a guilt-free break from life’s hectic schedule and day-to-day responsibilities of caring for a loved one.

All essay submissions must be received by 9 pm PT, July 1, 2013 via the APFM Facebook page or by e-mail (content @ aplaceformom.com).

Applicants must agree that if chosen as the winner they will attend Camp Reveille, take photos and accommodate a one-hour interview after home.  The A Place for Mom team will use the information gathered during the interview, as well as select photos taken by the winner, to create one blog post describing the winner’s “Rest and Recharge” experience.
