Bedtime network with joan lunden

I recently met two wonderful friends - Cindy Bressler and Lisa Mercurio of the Bedtime Network. Cindy and Lisa introduced me to their wonderful site which is full of information and advice for all things related to sleep and bedtime.  They have articles about sleep habits, experts on nighttime nutrition and exercise, and fun celebrity "bedtime profiles," where they just featured my nighttime routine!  We are so excited to be welcoming Cindy and Lisa to my Camp Reveille this August where they will teach all of our campers a little more about a healthy bedtime - a session I know I wont miss!

Check out my bedtime profile and everything else their site has to offer.  And if you want to hear them in person, we still have a few spots available at Camp Reveille where you can ask them anything you want about how to get your healthiest sleep!

Joan Lunden's Bedtime Profile

Bedtime Bling:
I wear my wedding ring and my engagement ring all the time, I never take them off.  Other than that, just my jammies!

Nightly Nosh:
I never ever eat at night. After dinner, that's it for me! But I always have a glass of ice water with me when I head up to bed

Bedtime Book:
Whatever I'm reading at the moment is what I have with me in bed and let me tell you – I am ALWAYS reading something! I recently loved The Secret Keeper, by Kate Morton.  Admittedly, reading is one of the things that is disruptive to my sleep because once I get engrossed in a book, I can be up until 2Am unable to put my book down!  I know I need to police this a little bit more! I keep promising myself I won't start reading at bedtime, but once my husband falls asleep and the house is quiet, I feel like I have coveted free time.  However no matter what time I go to sleep, we all wake up at the same time – early!

Sleep Secret:
Sleep has always been an elusive thing to me.  I feel as though my whole life, I have been searching for a good night's sleep so I actually took action to find some solutions.  Not to be self-promotional (!), but in all honesty I'm sleeping on my new Awaken by Joan Lunden mattress topper which has changed my bed completely.  The only problem with it is that I don't want to get out of bed in the morning!  I like a plush sleeping surface.  However, I have had neck and back issues so I know how important it is to have proper support and that's why I sought out something that would cater to both of these needs, the subject of healthy sleep is very dear to my heart.

Sleep Suit:
Cozy PJ sets, I love Donna Karen & Calvin Klein. Anything really soft and comfortable.

Crash Pad:
My bedroom in my home in CT is definitely my sanctuary.

Lights Out:
Way too late always!  I would love to say that I go to sleep at 10 at night but midnight is far more realistic.  I never, ever got to read or watch TV at night when I was on Good Morning America so I really love that I get to do that now.  I'm like a kid in a candy store at night with the clicker, not to mention I'm a news junkie so if there's something going on, I'm glued to the tube. Once a news junkie,  always a news junkie!
